When You Never Rx Anything
In CrossFit, RX’ing a WOD is something many think they should be able to achieve within a short amount of time. An article written by long time CrossFitter Kai Rainey called “When You Never RX Anything” beautifully describes the importance of knowing what the true goal of CrossFit really is (spoiler alert: it’s not RX’ing!).
In CrossFit, we scale to meet you where you’re at and to challenge you to reach new horizons. This means that we all may not be able to perform the workouts RX, and for a good while too. This article talks about the need to leave you ego at the door and describes the necessity of appropriate scaling in order to achieve our goals.
