You’re never too old for crossfit
Have you ever let your age get in the way of trying a new thing? Say a program called CrossFit?
We invite you to take a listen to this short documentary where our masters athletes share their experience about CrossFit.
At CrossFit Precipice, our masters athletes range from 55-78 years young. And each one has seen the benefits that CrossFit has provided in their lives.
CrossFit is a strength and conditioning program that focuses on functional movements performed with good technique under the watchful eye of a qualified coach. Functional movements are required of us in everyday life in order to live an independent life.
We work on strength, balance, coordination, cardio vascular endurance, and stability. All of which wane as we age if we don’t continuously practice them.
Research shows that participating in a program such as CrossFit will lead to:
-Increased bone density
-Increased insulin sensitivity (potentially reversing type 2 diabetes)
-Increased muscle function and type II muscle fibers
-Increased aerobic capacity (VO2 max)
-Increased range of motion in joints
-Decreased likely hood of falling and injuring yourself
-Increased confidence in ability and trying new things
The list goes on…
We here at CFP are proud to offer quality coaching to masters athletes and are here to help answer any questions you may have, just reach out! We would love to have you in our community.
